Menard County Trails and Greenways

Menard County Trails and Greenways primary goal is to promote the development of multi purpose trails throughout the county. Much of the work completed thus far has been centered on planning a trail linking the Menard County Seat, Petersburg, with Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site. We also occasionally assist the Lincoln's New Salem staff with trail maintenance and enhancements.

Not all the work we do is centered around trails and greenways. We also work to improve environmental awareness through outdoor activities such as workshops, canoe trips, naturalist led hikes, and historic and champion tree tours. In addition MCT&G events serve as the best place to meet like-minded individuals working to better the Menard County outdoor experience.

Menard County Trails and Greenways is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization.
